Google SearchWiki

Today I came to Google and was amazed seeing some strange icons on the search results page. I tried some of them and it looks like you can manipulate the search result like promote, remove or even add more pages to it. I guessed it should be a new feature of Google search and came to Google blog to check if they say something. And it really is, the Google SearchWiki, as I found an article “SearchWiki: make search your own“.

Yeah now we can make our own search results, really cool huh :D I do think there’s gonna be some little changes in SEO since user can make their own results. Now all we should do is not to focus on SEO only but to make our site really helpful for user (Maybe we’ve been doing that way, but now, do more!). If they think you’re good and want to see you closer, they should promote you, make you their result. Moreover, as you see the link “All notes for this SearchWiki”, people can see others’ notes so if you see your friends promote some pages in their result, why don’t you give them a try? And what if in some ways you are always on the top of the results but your content is not really helpful or appropriate? A click on the “remove” button is deserved, right? That’s it, content is always be king! (Usability should be the queen if there’s only one king, I think)

Unfortunately, it seems that only Google.com has this feature, not yet Google Vietnam (google.com.vn)
